Graduate profile:

• Implement climate change mitigation strategies.
• Apply environmental impact assessment models.
• Have the ability to develop sustainable technologies for soil and water conservation.
• Integrate knowledge and formulate strategies for environmental education.
• Analyse the zonal environmental management of territories, favouring the generation of territorial planning alternatives.
• Design plans for the management, treatment and final disposal of solid waste.
• Formulate and support the profile of a research project.
• Mastering tools that make productive economic activities compatible with environmental sustainability.
• Promote the dialogue of knowledge on environmental policies and legislation, as well as on the design and implementation of environmental auditing processes.

General objective

To prepare professionals with a solid scientific basis for the study of the environment and the planning of its development, through the application of interdisciplinary and trans-disciplinary methods that make the promotion, validity and enforceability of the rights of nature viable.

Specific objectives.

• To deepen the study of the relationship between society-nature and environmental economics in order to generate measures that minimise the impact of climate change.
• To provide solid training in soil management, environmental impacts and wastewater treatment in order to guarantee the rights of nature.
• Address the problem of environmental remediation from an educational perspective that respects cultural diversity and the guidelines of the national plan for good living.
• Promote the application of sustainable solutions to the company through a dialogue of knowledge regarding environmental management, policies, legislation and environmental auditing.
• Strengthen capacities to carry out basic and/or applied research in accordance with the programme's lines of research.
