Admission profile:
The applicant to enter the Master's Degree with research trajectory in Automation and Industrial Control of the Postgraduate Unit of the Quevedo State Technical University, must meet the characteristics presented below:
- Possess a degree in Having Level of Electronics Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Telematics Engineer, Mechanical Engineer (or others who have the necessary bases that are required to pursue this program) registered in the SENESCYT related to the master's degree.
- Experience and interest in deepening technical-professional knowledge in Industrial Automation and Control systems.
- Proactive attitude to accelerate interactive programmes in the technical-professional and research processes in Engineering.
- Understanding, reading and translation of the English language.
- Basic handling of scientific information.
General objective
To train fourth-level professionals with the ability to generate projects in the area of automated controls in any industrial or manufacturing company using the most sophisticated and modern technology available in the field.
Object of study.
- The Master's programme with research trajectory in Automation and Industrial Control, defines the object of study of the automation of industrial processes, from an epistemological, paradigmatic, theoretical and methodological vision, with a scientific, ecological, technological, interdisciplinary vision, based on the theory of complexity and the systemic and holistic approach of the phenomena of automation of industrial processes, with the application of the newest technologies and the use of scientific methods that will use the quantitative and experimental analysis.
- UTEQ bases the presentation of the proposed Master's Programme on the aim of training high-level professionals, with wide knowledge in the automation area, with skills, competences and technological bases of information management, with a sustainable approach to obtain the maximum efficiency in industrial processes.
- The disciplines are distributed in the different curricular organisation units such as Disciplinary, Multidisciplinary and/or Advanced Interdisciplinary Unit: Control Theory (linear and Digital), Instrumentation, Microprocessors, Digital Control of Mechatronic Systems. In the Research Unit: Mathematical Methods, IoT for Automation, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics/Unmanned Vehicle Design and in the Degree curricular organisation unit: Methodology of Scientific Research, Degree Workshop I, Degree Workshop II. For all these disciplines the following methods of knowledge organisation will be used: lectures, workshops, seminars, practical classes, laboratory practicals.
