Master"s degree with a Research Track Record in Industrial Automation and Control

Prospective students applying to the Master"s programme with a research trajectory in Automation and Industrial Control at the Graduate Unit of the Technical State University of Quevedo must meet the following characteristics:

  • Hold a Bachelor"s degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Telematics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (or other degrees with the necessary foundations required to pursue this programme) registered with SENESCYT related to the master"s programme.
  • Experience and interest in deepening technical-professional knowledge in Automation and Industrial Control systems.
  • Proactive attitude to accelerate interactive programs in technical-professional and research processes in Engineering.
  • Understanding, reading, and translating English language.
  • Basic handling of scientific information.

The Professional Master"s in Automation will be capable of:

Knowing:

  • Integrate Automation-environment-society-economy within a context of knowledge generation from a large volume of data to gain a competitive advantage.

Knowing how:

  • Acquire proficiency in handling the main tools, methods, and applications of automatic process control theory.
  • Model dynamic systems theoretically and experimentally.
  • Propose models for information analysis based on historical data to make inferences about the studied population.
  • Apply computational tools for the design, simulation, and implementation of control and automation systems.
  • Analyze, innovate, design, and optimize automatic control systems for industrial processes.

Knowing to be:

  • Develop processes that facilitate the appropriate management of Automation, considering the socio-economic conditions of the environment.
  • Apply community development projects with Automation applications.
  • Analyze the conceptual, methodological aspects, and tools for the characterization of Automation systems.

To train fourth-level professionals capable of generating projects in the area of automated controls for any industrial or manufacturing company using the most sophisticated and modern technology available in the field.
