General Objective

To train highly competent, committed, and reflective professionals at the postgraduate level in Teaching English as a Foreign Language, who integrate the most advanced educational theories and scientific research to solve the problems of foreign language education practice, based on a strong ethical and pedagogical commitment, in line with the framework of competencies for English teachers in the 21st century.

Specific Objectives

• To develop an advanced communicative competence in English that allows for academically, professionally, and culturally relevant communication in diverse contexts.
• To design innovative pedagogical proposals that integrate creative teaching resources, inclusive strategies, and methodologies focused on meaningful English learning.
• To manage processes of planning, evaluation, and curriculum implementation that respond to student diversity and the challenges of the educational, social, and environmental context.
• To design collaborative learning environments that strengthen critical thinking, autonomy, creativity, and democratic values in English teaching.
• To carry out educational research that links current trends in foreign language teaching with the ethical and strategic use of digital technologies.
• To integrate interculturality and the dialogue of knowledge as a central element in context-based, inclusive, and transformative pedagogical practices in English teaching.
• To exercise transformative educational leadership through critical reflection, ethical decision-making, and the implementation of actions aimed at the continuous improvement of English teaching.
