Hold an undergraduate degree in: Bachelor of Pedagogy in the English Language, Bachelor of Educational Sciences with a mention in English, Bachelor of Education specialising in English, Bachelor of English Language and Literature, Bachelor of Foreign Languages with a mention in English, or Bachelor of Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL), duly registered with the governing body of higher education public policy, and comply with the established admission process.
In cases where the undergraduate degree was obtained abroad, the applicant must present it to the IES duly apostilled or legalised via consular channels in order to enrol in the programme. If the applicant holds a degree in a different field, they must certify one year of experience in teaching English as a Foreign Language. In all cases, the applicant must have an English proficiency level equivalent to B2 of the CEFR.
To train highly competent, committed, and reflective professionals at the postgraduate level in Teaching English as a Foreign Language, who integrate the most advanced educational theories and scientific research to solve the problems of foreign language education practice, based on a strong ethical and pedagogical commitment, in line with the framework of competencies for English teachers in the 21st century.
