The Faculty of Livestock Sciences of the UTEQ is an academic and scientific community that discovers, shares and applies knowledge to boost agricultural, aquaculture and biological development in the regional and national context, with outstanding international recognition.

Mission

To train suitable and integral professionals in Livestock Sciences capable of identifying problems and proposing solutions with regard to the production, transformation and commercialisation of agricultural, aquaculture and biological products and their derivatives, leading to an improvement in the quality of life of the population.

Objectives

• To train professionals of excellence in the areas of: agricultural, aquaculture and biological production, industrial processes and technology transfer.
• To formulate research projects on agricultural, aquaculture and biological production that meet the needs of the environment.
• To establish extension programmes that help to solve the problems of agricultural, aquaculture and biological production, to integrate the FCP with society and the productive sectors through action plans that strengthen the development of agri-food chains in the region and in the country.
