Once UTEQ has been designated, the directors of the local university's Employees' Association have taken on the responsibility of hosting the different university sports delegations, said Elena Moreira, President of the AET.

The sports disciplines that have been programmed for this competition are:

basketball (men's and women's), football (men's), fulbito (men's 45 masters), fulbito (women's), ecuavolley (men's and women's), quarantine (men's and women's), athletics (men's and women's), 100m and 4X100m relay and swimming (men's and women's). The inauguration will take place on Thursday 8 June 2017 at 09h00 in the 7 de Octubre Stadium. The venues that are scheduled to be used are: Complejo Deportivo Municipal, Polideportivo Wellington Chang, Coliseo Central, Cancha de fútbol del GFE 26 Cenepa, cancha sintetica Wembley, among others.
