Vision

The Faculty of Engineering Sciences of the UTEQ is a multidisciplinary academic unit with a high degree of acceptance and national and international recognition, for its educational quality, services and interaction with society, committed to the institutional strategic objectives. It has professors of high academic level, involved in the teaching-learning process based on a pedagogical model by competences, linking mechanisms and research; which results in the high capacity of its students, who are able to adapt to technological changes and integrate into the various sectors of society.

Mission

To fully train professionals in Engineering Sciences; with solid technical-scientific training, ethics, social sensitivity, leadership, creativity and competitiveness, committed to technological, scientific and humanistic changes; making use of human talent, didactic and technological resources so that society can satisfy its needs, contributing to the improvement of the quality of life and promoting the development of the region.

Objective

To provide a solid scientific and technological preparation, with in-depth knowledge of science and technological processes, providing the foundations, tools and skills necessary for engineering, including the teaching of national and international standards, administrative processes, strategic planning, quality control and leadership, without forgetting responsibility towards the ecology and the social environment, seeking the advancement and transmission of universal knowledge, adapting it for the service of the community in pursuit of the country's development through its formal education programme.
