Information on quality indicators

The Quevedo State Technical University considers that in order to support the fulfilment of the institutional mission and strategic objectives and to ensure the highest level of satisfaction of its internal and external users, it is necessary to have an adequate information management, that information is a resource that, like the rest of the assets, has great value for the institution and therefore must be duly protected.

In this context, UTEQ considers that the information systems must guarantee the quality of the information and the continuous provision of services, acting preventively, supervising the daily activity and reacting quickly to incidents, policies and protocols of security and information management have been adopted to guarantee the reliability and confidentiality of the information, as a strategic process in the framework of the institutional accreditation processes of UTEQ.

For the purposes of self-evaluation and external evaluation processes, the aim is to have quality information that is timely, relevant, consistent, complete and formal.

The quality of the information is processed internally by the General Commission for Internal Evaluation and Quality Assurance CGEIAC, in order to upload institutional information to the Higher Education Information System (SIIES) platform and allow the proper analysis of the documentary evaluation, including the respective evidence. On the other hand, institutional information is systematised for the delivery to SENESCYT of what is required for the application of the formula for the distribution of resources to public universities.
