Freedom of Information and Transparency Act (FOITA)



The Freedom of Information and Transparency Act (FOITA) advocates for citizen participation and the right to access information related to public affairs, in order to exercise effective control and demand accountability from governmental institutions or those receiving state resources.

Article 19.- Active transparency. The obligated entities established in paragraphs a), b), d), f), g), and h) of Article 8 of this Law shall disseminate through a web-based information portal or through available means, which are easily accessible and understandable, the following minimum information updated monthly, which, for the purposes of this Law, is considered mandatory.

In accordance with the provisions of Article 66, paragraph 19 of the Constitution of the Republic of Ecuador, in conjunction with Article 10, literal F) of the Organic Law on Personal Data Protection, and in line with Article 2 of the Freedom of Information and Transparency Act, you are informed that, to respond to your information request corresponding to one of the following paragraphs:

  • Directory and distribution of entity personnel.
  • Remuneration and additional income.
  • Institution"s budget.
  • Details on travel expenses, work reports, and justifications for mobilization.
