In order to promote nutritional health in families and associations in Quevedo, the students of the Food course, provide training.


Through the linkage project "Promotion of the nutritional health of low-income families in the marginal areas of Mocache-Quevedo".

This time this project was applied to the members of the Association of Catering Services and Ancestral Flavours belonging to the Local Cantonal Assembly of Quevedo, in which they learned about the three main topics such as nutrition, hygiene and handling, and conservation and storage of food.

In the practical part, they made varieties of fruit in syrup, jams and fruit nectars, biscuits and cakes, among others.

Verónica Puente, director of the project, indicated that in addition to making the products, they also provide incentives to sell them, generating their own income, thus promoting entrepreneurship, mainly considering nutrition.
