Through master's degrees, diplomas and courses in urban and architectural planning, urban and institutional facilities, sanitation and environmental management, among other competencies of the cantonal governments.

A framework agreement for inter-institutional cooperation was signed between the Association of Municipalities of Ecuador, the State Technical University of Quevedo and the Public Company PRODEUTEQ-EP, with the aim of strengthening the capacities of municipalities and civil servants by promoting higher education.

The document was signed in the city of Macas on 20 December this year and was attended by Franklin Galarza, president of AME; Eduardo Diaz, rector of UTEQ and Cesil Moreno, manager of PRODEUTEQ as protagonists of the event, in addition to the presence of Cesar Litardo, as a teacher of UTEQ.
