The Utequsino student is in his sixth semester of Business Administration at the Faculty of Business Sciences, and in the coming months he will travel to the United States to participate in the "Study of the U.S. Institutes" or SUSI 2023 programme with a focus on Leadership in Entrepreneurship and Economic Development. This is because he dared to apply as a scholarship holder for this project and was one of the winners.

Through this programme, Luis will visit several universities in the United States over a period of four weeks starting in July 2023; in addition, travel expenses will be covered in full by the United States government.

What motivated you to apply for this competition?

My career coordinator (Magaly Calero) informed me of the existence of this program, when I found out about the contest I was very interested in the idea of being able to expand my knowledge in terms of entrepreneurship, culture and programs that may have in this country; and at the same time have the opportunity to know the United States, that's why I decided to apply and the first thing I did was to meet all the requirements requested, I attended a virtual interview with them, and after a few weeks they gave me the news that I had been the winner of the exchange through SUSI 2023.

What do you expect from this exchange?

I hope to learn many more skills about leading people and businesses, to exchange ideas, and above all to take advantage of and enjoy this good opportunity that has been presented to me.

What is your message to your fellow Utequsinos about such opportunities?

Let them always be willing to learn, to go beyond; let them review the information that our teachers share with us and investigate how to acquire more knowledge, and if this leads us to participate in competitions, good luck. Let's put fear aside and dare to seek opportunities that allow us to grow.
