José Capuñay, head of the University Welfare Department of the UNC, held a meeting with Rector Eduardo Díaz Ocampo with whom, after a pleasant dialogue, it was agreed to join forces and promote the exchange of experiences in the area of research and culture as well as in related academic areas in both institutions.

Bolivar Montenegro, lecturer at UTEQ, said that previous experiences of exchanges with the National University of Callao "have been a success due to the collaboration of the university authorities and also the UTEQ students have been very motivated", he said.

Eduardo Díaz, rector of UTEQ, said that the visit of the university managers will help to strengthen the work through the renewal of an agreement for 5 years. This agreement will allow for student mobility, which is contemplated in the Organic Law of Higher Education and is an aspiration of the student leadership.

"We are going to start this process (of student mobility) with the National University of Callao, but we intend to maintain it hopefully with universities in Havana, Palmira and in the future in Zaragoza," said Díaz.
