Closing its festivities with a Solemn Session held on August 2, 2018, in the "Ing. Carlos Cortaza González" Auditorium.

During the solemn session, Mercedes Carranza, dean of the faculty, gave her work report, where she highlighted a series of achievements made by this academic unit.
In addition, awards were presented to students with the best parallel average and to the Best Graduate: Gabriela Bermello Ponce. Julio Pazmiño received recognition as Best Teacher of the faculty. The following professors received recognition for their years of service: Jaime Morante, for having served for 15 years;Francisca Contreras and Pedro Suatunce; for 20 years. The following academics also received recognition: Betty González, for being one of the managers of the project of
Resilience to Climate Change project; María Lorena Cadme, for holding the seventh consecutive Scientific and Environmental Academic Conference; Edwin Jiménez, Elías Cuásquer and Carlos Belezaca, for their great contribution to the publication of the book on research into forest species La Mayronga.
