In the framework of the linking project signed between UTEQ and the Municipal Government of Quevedo, a total of 52 beneficiaries.


Twenty-four students of the Bachelor's degree in Marketing of the Distance Learning Unit (Unidad de Estudios a Distancia) advised on "Marketing strategies and corporate image" among shopkeepers of the Timoteo Quevedo Bay and the Parque de La Familia.

The project is called "Marketing strategies to boost the competitiveness of MSMEs in the marginal urban sectors of Quevedo canton and its areas of influence", was directed by Marco Villarroel Puma, teacher of the UTEQ, and began on 12 November 2020 and ended on 4 March 2021 in online mode.

During the training, the students shared with the beneficiaries their knowledge in: Corporate Image and Merchandising, Low Cost Advertising Strategies, Sales Techniques and Customer Service, and Social Media Marketing. The training was given with all the biosecurity measures in the Simón Bolívar hall of the Ciudadela Municipal.

The implementation of the strategies was carried out at the beneficiaries' premises, where the students attended according to the planned schedule, under the control of the project director.
