UTEQ and Agrimen signed an agreement

The State Technical University of Quevedo and the Agrimen S.A. Company signed an inter-institutional cooperation agreement.


This will allow the establishment of a framework for joint work on issues related to education, training and capacity building in good agricultural practices, sustainable agriculture and social responsibility.

This agreement also aims to promote the efficient and responsible use and management of nutrition and crop protection techniques; and to disseminate the adoption of new technologies with new generation products to achieve a less chemical-intensive and sustainable agriculture. Present at the signing of the agreement were Eduardo Díaz, rector of UTEQ; Leonardo Matute, dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of UTEQ; and Marjorie Mendoza, general manager of Agrimen.

This agreement will have a duration of two years from the date of signature and can be renewed by written agreement.

Leonardo Matute, expressed his gratitude to the authorities of the UTEQ for the predisposition of the constant help that the Faculty of Agrarian Sciences receives, and indicated that they will start immediately with the proposed projects.

Matute also thanked the students and teachers for their support and encouraged them to continue in unity for the development of this faculty.

For his part, Rector Eduardo Díaz congratulated the promoters of this agreement and commented that UTEQ is undergoing great changes that allow the institution to be well on its way to academic excellence.
