It seeks to promote an environmentally healthy environment for the development of its educational mission and professional training.

This Sustainability Plan is based on principles and strategies that should be applied in all the processes of education, linking, research and management, for the improvement of the university.

In order to determine the level of sustainability of UTEQ, the institution was evaluated using the GESU model that determines the level of sustainability of Higher Education institutions.

The presentation of this Plan took place in the central auditorium of the UTEQ and was addressed to authorities, directors, career coordinators and student representatives. Details about the objectives, strategies and activities to be carried out within this project were presented by the Environmental Engineer Mariela Díaz, sub-dean of the Faculty of Engineering Sciences.
