Thanks to a Framework Agreement for Inter-institutional Cooperation signed on 28 July between the State Technical University of Quevedo and the Technical Secretariat for Drugs.


Students will receive coordinated programmes of information, prevention and control of alcohol, tobacco and narcotic and psychotropic substances consumption.

This agreement aims to strengthen the work in the integral prevention of the use and consumption of drugs and will allow the development of academic and scientific activities in the field of higher education, as well as the execution of programmes for the investigation of the socio-economic phenomenon of drugs.

The signing of the agreement was carried out in the square of the Informatics building by Ab. Luis Vera, Coordinator zone 5 of the Seted, and Dr. Eduardo Diaz, Rector of the UTEQ. The event was attended by Assemblyman Cesar Litardo and other authorities, teachers and students of the university.

Working in partnership with the university will allow us to fulfil objectives such as scientific research and training processes through the chair, as well as the organisation of seminars, forums, talks, lectures and meetings on the subject, to strengthen the link with the community and the development of comprehensive prevention programme plans," said Vera prior to the signing.
