This institution is the result of the Quevedo days for its creation and the result of a permanent academic and administrative development that has proudly led us to become a university of reference in the region.

For the first time, circumstances beyond our control forced us to maintain our social distance, due to the Covid - 19 pandemic, but we have adapted to the reality to commemorate another year of our alma mater and we developed our annual 100% anniversary event virtually.

It has been a difficult year for all of us, with deep sadness we have said our last goodbyes to precious and dear colleagues or relatives of our colleagues, whom the pandemic caught up with. They will live on in our memory!

Despite the adverse economic circumstances faced by universities in Ecuador, even before the pandemic, academic, administrative, research, outreach and other activities did not stop. did not stop.

We have achieved a milestone in our history, demonstrating that many things have been done well, the moment places us in the precise conditions to make the qualitative leap towards a university positioned in the national and international context.
