"Advisory service on compliance with the simplified accounting standard for popular and solidarity economy organisations in the non-financial sector in the province of Los Ríos and its areas of influence".

In the first academic period 2021 - 2022 a total of 87 students of the Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Auditing were part of the project; while for this second period the participation of 166 future professionals is foreseen for the fulfilment of the link with society.

The project aims to verify compliance with the resolutions issued by the Superintendency and the Institute of Popular and Solidarity Economy; identify the application and execution of the records described in the Simplified Accounting Standard in organisations not obliged to keep accounts in the non-financial sector of the Popular and Solidarity Economy in the province of Los Ríos and its areas of influence; evaluate the financial, economic and tax information with legitimate transparency and contribute to compliance with the specifications of the control bodies by the beneficiaries; and socialise and deliver reports to the organisations. Aida Palma, director of the project, commented that the results obtained are very satisfactory because the information provided is timely.

"Through this project, the beneficiary organisations have learned to identify parameters of efficiency and punctuality in order to achieve transparency in the information for the control bodies, being able to submit any evaluation process. The service provided generates a high interest and social impact of the actors of the Popular and Solidarity Economy of the non-financial sector", said Palma.

Organisations such as: Asoecolimpq, Asolimsolmar, Asoquevelim, Cooperativa de taxis "Ciudad de Quevedo", Cooperativa de taxis "San Camilo", Asociación "Odisea", have benefited from the advice provided by the Accounting and Auditing students.
