The socialisation began on 27 November in the auditorium "Ing. Carlos Cortaza", with students from the different academic units. Myriam Loor, doctor of the UTEQ, explains that the Medical Centre has general medicine, an occupational doctor, psychology, dentistry and nursing. These services are also available at the campus of the "La María" farm. The psychologist of the UTEQ, Mariana Rivadeneira, explained about the cultural and sports schools. In the cultural area, the UBU has a dance school (folklore, hip hop and classical ballet), under the direction of the instructor Adelaida Sánchez, and in the music school (instrumentation, singing and choir) directed by the teachers Juan Miranda and Ricardo Villón. In the sports area, football, indoor football, basketball, handball, Tae Kwon Do, directed by teachers Jhonny Alarcón, Fernando Morán, Guillermo Reyes, Jorge Pérez and Guillermo Jaramillo. For the development of these activities, the UTEQ offers the sports complex, football field (La María farm), gymnasium and student cultural area. It also has a Social Work service, which deals with issues of justification of absences, financial aid processes, scholarships and student insurance.
