It was successfully held on 31 August 2018 at the Fong Center facilities.

The hardware parade had a massive attendance in which local and university authorities were present. Several companies providing products and services related to construction participated in this activity with the installation of some stands offering significant discounts and promotions on materials and equipment. The objective of this event was to show the citizens of Quevedo what the students have learned, both in theoretical and practical concepts, and thus demonstrate that what they have worked on in the classroom is very important and goes hand in hand with the execution of a project in the labour field; that is to say that it shows knowledge and know-how. The fashion show was attended by 25 models who, with style and personality, exhibited various tools and hardware products from well-known national and international brands, as well as performances by local guest artists. The project was organised by a total of 35 students under the direction of Francisco Liberio, a teacher at UTEQ, and officials of Casa Ferretería Fong S.A.. "The effort and sacrifice of this event will serve the students for their entire professional life. A good communication plan has been carried out in conjunction with the hardware store, and the future professionals also provided training to the staff, which allows them to be ready to successfully pursue their careers," said Liberio.
