The programme for the start of the internal games took place in the Sports Centre, where authorities, directors, teachers and students from each of the academic units of the university gathered.

The Faculties of Agricultural Sciences, Livestock, Business, Environment, Engineering and the Distance Learning Unit, presented their best teams for this sporting event which is organised by the Administrative Vice Rectorate, the Student Welfare Unit and the University Sports League-UTEQ. In the development of the programme, the Rector of the University, Dr. Eduardo Díaz, highlighted the effort of the directors, teachers and students of each faculty to show organisation, unity and desire to please in these internal games, while wishing all the competitors the best of luck in this sporting event. Miriam Saltos, representative of the UED, was then chosen as the patron of the tournament, and the Faculty of Environmental Sciences was designated as the best uniformed team.
