UTEQ is one of the 52 accredited higher education institutions in Ecuador, making it one of the most important universities in the region and the country.

The Council for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (CACES) has sent the notification by which it grants institutional accreditation for a period of 5 years to the University of Quevedo.

The institutional accreditation achieved by the UTEQ is the result of demonstrating the quality of its teaching, research, social links, infrastructure and other institutional conditions, carried out by an external commission of national and foreign evaluators, who after an arduous process, prepared a report of assessment and compliance with quality standards, which recognises the capacity and institutional effort to develop and advance in the continuous improvement of its academic processes.

Eduardo Díaz Ocampo, UTEQ's rector, thanked all those involved in the evaluation process. "This is the result of the daily work carried out with passion, dedication and responsibility of the professors, students and administrative staff, who actively contribute to the continued growth of our institution with academic quality. This recognition encourages us to continue on the path of continuous improvement of our academic processes, research and social use of knowledge, in the perspective of consolidating our regional and national positioning and promoting the internationalisation of our university," said Rector Díaz.
