The Faculty of Environmental Sciences held the 5th Environmental Science Academic Day with the aim of generating culture and awareness among students and the community in general.
The event took place on the 24th of August in the university canteen with the participation of students of Forestry Engineering and Ecotourism. The works presented by the students were all ecological, such as: furniture, solar panels, bricks, roofing, carpets, fertilisers, pellets, briquettes, and innovative products to promote tourism. María Lorena Cadme, coordinator of the event, said that the aim of the event was to encourage the use of recycled materials, such as plastic and wood, in the production of by-products and to promote the creation of micro-enterprises at a local level.
