The Director of Research of the State Technical University of Quevedo (UTEQ) and representative of the country's Universities and Polytechnic Schools to the Executive Committee of the Agricultural Research Funds (FIASA), Carlos Edison Zambrano, participated in the launch of the open call for the application of the FIASA 2023 financing funds, which aims to strengthen the processes of research, technological development, innovation and technology transfer within the Ecuadorian agricultural sector.

During the event also took place the signing of the framework agreement for technical and scientific cooperation between UTEQ and the National Institute of Agricultural Research (INIAP) which aims to establish the basis for the development of academic, scientific, technology transfer, information exchange and mutual cooperation services.

The event took place in the city of Quito and was attended by Bernardo Manzano, Minister of Agriculture and Livestock of Ecuador and Raul Jaramillo, director of INIAP.
