"In 2020, despite the pandemic, scientific projects have not stopped; to date, the FCI has already published 30 articles of regional impact," said Chiriboga..

In his speech, the rector of the UTEQ, Eduardo Díaz Ocampo, said that the FCI has grown a lot in recent years, so much so that it is a faculty that deserves to build new facilities for the future process of reorganisation of careers and academic units. "We are already building workshops, a set of classrooms, administrative and teaching areas," explained the rector.

Díaz also mentioned that for the next semester UTEQ will continue to teach its classes virtually in order to safeguard the health and wellbeing of its community.
