UTEQ, through the Faculty of Environmental Sciences, will organise three academic events.


II International Seminar on Sustainable Tourism, the I International Congress on Forest Management and the III International Seminar on Natural Resources, Goods and Ecosystem Services.

These talks will take place on 25, 26 and 27 July 2018 in the auditoriums of the Faculty of Business Sciences and are supported by the Centre for Research and Development of Ecuador.

For the II International Seminar on Sustainable Tourism, called "Year of World, Natural and Cultural Heritage", experts from several countries will attend as speakers, among them: Enrique Richard, of Bolivian nationality; Julián Rodríguez Rodríguez, from Cuba; and, Vladimir álvarez Ojeda of Ecuadorian nationality.

The I International Congress on Forest Management will also be attended by the following speakers: Dennis Denis Alava from Cuba and Sergio Donoso Calderón from Chile.

While for the III International Seminar on Natural Resources, Goods and Ecosystemic Services the following experts will be present: Oscar Rea Campos, from Bolivia; Ángel Félix Mendoza, from Ecuador; Daniela Inca and Diana Sánchez, from Colombia.

With these three events, the Faculty of Environmental Sciences is kicking off the activities planned to celebrate its 18th anniversary, said Mercedes Carranza, dean of this academic unit.
