To commemorate its 33 years of existence, the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences has programmed a series of scientific conferences and the First Conference on Agricultural Research.
Experts will participate in these conferences and will present topics such as: "A micro-world in biological control: The endophyte Trichoderma Pers"; "Panama Disease: threat to the production of musaceae for Latin America"; "Integrated management of the main insect pests of bananas: Advances in the management of red spot"; "Advances in the genetic improvement programme for Japonica rice"; "Macro propagation of musaceae in thermal chambers: An economical and easily accessible technology for small and medium-sized producers"; "Integrated management of the main phytosanitary problems with high productivity cultivars as a basis for the development of the national coffee sector", among other topics of vital importance for agriculture.
These workshops will be held on Wednesday 19 and Thursday 20 July from 09h00 to 17h00 while on Friday 20 will be from 08h00 to 18h00.
Stands with the research work that the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences has launched on the theme of "Agriculture and Environmental Capital" will also be on display in the small square of the Information Technology Building.
