The UTEQ is constantly improving its spaces in search of quality and comfort in its processes, said Eduardo Díaz, rector of the University of Quevedo, at the inauguration of the new building for the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, located on the grounds of the La María Experimental Farm.

With the aim of allowing students to develop their academic activities in a habitat in accordance with the characteristics of their studies, university authorities promoted the construction of a new building for the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences on the university campus "La María", the first floor of which became operational in the semester that began on May 20th.
The inaugurated building includes twelve air-conditioned classrooms with audiovisual equipment, dean's and secretary's offices, cubicles for teaching support and toilets.
In his speech, Eduardo Díaz commented that the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences is located on the natural campus, where the students of this academic unit can carry out their projects in a territory that has more than 100 hectares with different crops, soils and agricultural machinery for a better practical application of their theoretical knowledge.
For his part, the Dean of the Faculty, Leonardo Matute, thanked the management and support provided by the authorities for the construction of this physical space, unveiling a plaque for the rector of the UTEQ, Dr. Eduardo Diaz Ocampo.
The inauguration of the new FCA building was attended by teachers, employees and student leaders.
After the ceremonial act, an artistic act took place with the performance of the UTEQ musical group and other local artists who delighted the student community.
