The visit of officials from the Council for Quality Assurance in Higher Education, CACES, evaluated technical aspects according to the Evaluation Model of this organism.

At 7:45 am, Paulina Vaca, José Valdivieso and Ernesto Muela, CACES technicians, arrived at the UTEQ premises to start the verification and evaluation tour. They reviewed several aspects such as the facilities provided by the university in its central and "La María" campuses.

In the verification carried out by the CACES technicians, the university directors showed evidence that the institution has spaces that facilitate inclusion, allowing access to people with motor disabilities, with ramps, handrails, inclusive toilets, among other aspects.

A tour was also made to evaluate the university welfare services, document management, internet connectivity, infrastructure and library services, both physical and virtual, with the same logic of inclusivity.

"It has really been a very pleasant day in which we have been able to provide information related to the indicators and the matrix that had previously been made known to us. We are a regional university that is in a clear process of development and therefore requires a lot of collaboration from the body that governs the national system of Higher Education," said the rector of the UTEQ, Eduardo Díaz Ocampo.

In addition, the highest authority of the UTEQ, thanked the unconditional support of the directors and teachers who have collaborated to face this process, and to demonstrate what they have been doing daily, in order to provide benefits to students from various regions of the country.

The coordination of this visit of CACES was in charge of the General Commission of Internal Evaluation and Quality Assurance of the UTEQ, once the university completed the first stage of the external evaluation process for accreditation purposes, through the delivery of information sources in the computer platform enabled for this purpose, the next phase began with the development of this technical visit by CACES, in order to verify the information submitted.
