Students represented UTEQ in Robotics Contest

Students from the Telematics course of the Faculty of Engineering Sciences represented UTEQ in the Ecuadorian Robotics Competition (CER), in the city of Cuenca.


On 20, 21 and 22 November 2019.

This scientific event was organised by the Ecuadorian Corporation for the development of research and academia (CEDIA) and the University of Cuenca. The students Anthony López, Kevin Silva, Cristian Segarra, under the direction of the teacher Néstor Rafael Salinas, participated in the category "Autonomous Minisumo", overcoming without problem the first phase of eliminations.

They also took part in talks and workshops on topics such as "Wolfram for Robotics, Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things"; "Data acquisition systems and NI instrumentation (DataLights)"; among others.

Salinas, indicated that the university's participation can be valued positively due to the large amount of knowledge that the students have acquired, not only in the competition but with their attendance at talks on technological innovation, as well as the participation of teachers in workshops that reinforce their knowledge and motivate them to apply innovative techniques in university teaching.
