Students from the Agronomy Engineering course carried out a project in different communities.

With the coordination of the teacher, Cesar Bermeo and under the tutelage of the engineers David Campi, Luvick Amores and Cesar Varas.

On 9 December, a field day was held at the "El Lechugal de Arriba" site in the parish of San Carlos, where the students explained the activities carried out during the project, the main theme being the management of cocoa crops. Thirteen people benefited from the triumph.

Likewise, 177 farmers in the parish of San Jacinto del Bua, in the canton of Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas, benefited from linkage projects.

This project is carried out within the framework of an agreement between UTEQ and the GAD Parroquial de San Jacinto del Bua. Thirteen students from the tenth module of the agronomy engineering course took part in the project and completed 200 hours of work. They worked in the following areas: El Triunfo, La Y de Las Juntas, San Vicente del Bua, San Pedro del Laurel, Los Laureles, Montañita, Mocache 2-4-7, La Primera Y, Bispachila, La Tola, San Jacinto, La Flecha and Bellavista.

The students gave technical talks on crop management and the use of fertilisers. Among the crops they worked on were organic vegetables such as tomatoes, coriander, cucumber, lettuce, among others.
