A group of students of Telematics Engineering developed the first pilot of the software application "Neutrino".
It allows the learning of sign language based on the "Gabriel Román" Ecuadorian Dictionary.
This application is part of the community outreach project "Application of the internet of things in the design of electronic equipment for the interaction of people with hearing disabilities in the canton of Quevedo".
One of the institutions that has benefited from this project is the Specialised Educational Unit "Fe y Alegría" of Santo Domingo, which presented the application as part of its work plan for teachers and students.
The App was developed with the aim of benefiting students in Basic Education who are hearing impaired. Through it, the user can learn in a didactic and interactive way and it is also used by teachers and people in general who wish to acquire knowledge in this language.
