In the parish of San Carlos last Friday, August 18, the Distance Learning Unit and the Millennium Educational Unit 'Carmelina Granja Villanueva', inaugurated the linking project.

"Promotion of Entrepreneurship in the Urban Marginal and Rural Sectors of the northern part of the province of Los Ríos".

Elsa Álvarez, UED teacher and director of the project, said that this programme will promote entrepreneurship in the children and teachers of the aforementioned school and at the same time will allow the execution of the 160 hours of community outreach that UTEQ students need to fulfil as established by the Organic Law of Higher Education. This project will be carried out by students of the Business Management degree of the UED and will facilitate the training of more than 300 students of the San Carlos educational unit.

Alavarez indicated that the activity will take place in the mornings and afternoons on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. On September 8, through an open house, the young students of the Millennium Educational Unit "Carmelina Granja Villanueva" will present their entrepreneurial projects as the end of the training process".
