With the aim of preserving the environment, a total of 1118 students from the Faculty of Environmental Sciences, together with INMAIA and the Municipal Government of Quevedo, carried out plantations.
As a result of an agreement, 10,000 Guayacán Blanco trees were planted.
In the access roundabouts from Buena Fe to Quevedo in the Anillo Vial sector. Mercedes Carranza, commented that the planting of these trees will not only give a very nice view to the place but will also mitigate the effect of pollution caused by aerial spraying, because there will be more oxygen emission and therefore less pollution. This activity took place on January 24th of this year, as part of the events programmed for the anniversary of the UTEQ.
