This activity is carried out in the framework of the linking project "Use of agricultural raw material for the elaboration of agro-industrial products", which is coordinated by José Villarroel, teacher of the UTEQ.

EThis project has benefited around 50 older adults and is being developed thanks to an agreement between the UTEQ and the GAD Municipal del Cantón Valencia.

Alba Laborde, student of Agroindustry, says that it has been a very nice experience to share with the elderly. Alba also mentioned that so far they have been taught how to make floor disinfectants, jams, chocolate cocktail and liquid soap.

Executives of the Faculty of Industry and Production Sciences and the representative of the Directorate of Liaison, paid a visit to the Gerontological Centre to see the work being carried out by the students. It was possible to see the good coexistence, artistic interventions on the part of the students and also of the older adults with singing, dancing and rhymes.
