Teachers from all faculties of the State Technical University of Quevedo, during the months of September and October, attended trainings.


Carried out by the Human Resources department and the logistical support of the Public Company of the UTEQ (Prodeuteq), in order to comply with the Academic Improvement Plan for teachers of the institution approved by the OCAS.

For the month of September, from the 11th to the 22nd, the specific trainings were given for the FCE and UED on the following topics: Implementation and use of tools in market research, Methodological Strategies in the teaching of financial accounting and international financial reporting standards (IFRS), Strategic Planning, Applied Econometrics with study, and Tax Experts; for the FCP: Statistical Reasoning and Data Analysis in Agricultural Research; FCA: Methodology of Higher Education; and FCI: Quality Management System, and Matlab & Simulink with applications to engineering.

From the 16th of October to the 1st of November, general training sessions were held, starting with the Writing and Publishing Workshop, directed by Dr. Rafael Cartay Angulo, and continuing with the courses "Coaching as a methodological tool in the teaching process" and "Methodology of Higher Education", which was addressed to all UTEQ teachers.

The topics Statistical Reasoning and Data Analysis in Agricultural Research were presented to teachers of the FCA and FCAMB. While for the FCI teachers the workshops were: Preventive voice and data visualisation screen users.

Maria Edilma Párraga, Director of Human Resources, said that these courses will help teachers to strengthen their competencies with the use of important didactic techniques that favour student learning. Párraga also indicated that on 11, 12, 18 and 19 November the courses for FCI teachers will continue with the theme of 3D Modelling with emphasis on 3D printing and computational fluid dynamics with Solidworks Flow Simulation".
