The Directorate of Evaluation, Development and Institutional Assurance (EDA) conducted visits to the academic units of the university.
Carlos Martinez, head of the unit, informed that the new Strategic Plan for Institutional Development, PEDI, 2018-2020, is being presented to the deans and career coordinators.
Martinez added that in these meetings with deans and career coordinators, the PEDI is being socialised, which is aligned to the National Development Plan and contains the new quality indicators, with their respective objectives, strategies and goals, in order to be prepared for future institutional evaluation and accreditation.
The academic authorities and teachers in general are committed to the institution, as they can see the change and development that the university has undergone both in the physical work and in the academic and institutional aspects, said Martínez.
UTEQ has increased the number of students in the different careers offered, has improved the quality indicators: retention rate, graduation rate, number of articles in regional and high impact journals, regional articles, research projects and links with the community among others, which makes us think that we are on the right path towards excellence, emphasised Carlos Martinez.
