Congress on Criminal Procedural Law with more than 700 attendees

The International Congress on Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, Techniques and Oral Bidding Strategy was attended by more than 700 participants.


This academic event was organised by the Universidad Técnica Estatal de Quevedo, the Instituto de Altos Estudios Nacionales (IAEN) and the Red Latinoamericana de Estudio e Investigación de los Derechos Humanos y Humanitarios, and was held on 24 and 25 October in the auditorium of IAEN, in the city of Quito.

The congress was attended by 22 international speakers who presented their research in the field of law.

Cristhian Mora, director of the Mediation Centre of the UTEQ, was in charge of the general coordination of the congress and explained that this academic activity began on 2 July with a Diploma in Procedural Law: Litigation Expert mention, which lasted 400 academic hours, which included fifteen modules in virtual mode and ended on 11 October 2019.

Mora highlighted that there were more than 700 participants (face-to-face and virtual) who trusted UTEQ, IAEN and the Human Rights Network. "Expectations were exceeded, the exhibitors met the demands of the attendees, it was a great event and we are confident that this type of academic activities that contribute to professional training and updating of knowledge will continue to be carried out," said Mora.

At the closing of the event, participants and exhibitors received their respective certificates.
