The UTEQ achieved a historic budget execution of 98.41% in 2019, which translates into investment for the development of our Alma Mater, as stated by the rector in his speech.

The event took place in the Carlos Cortaza González auditorium in person before social actors, representatives of organisations from Quevedo and its areas of influence, the media and the university community; and virtually via Facebook Live for the general public.

In his accountability report, Rector Eduardo Díaz highlighted the most relevant achievements of the year.

In the Teaching Function, the UTEQ through its academic units offered twenty-one careers, with a demand of 8885 students. An important boost has been given to doctoral training, which has allowed 62 teachers to obtain the academic degree of PhD, while 58 professors are pursuing doctoral studies in different universities around the world.

The UTEQ has 161 publications of worldwide impact, and 180 scientific papers in national and international events; and 50 research projects were executed in the different areas of knowledge.

Meanwhile, in the Linkage Function, 4346 people from different associations, companies and institutions have benefited through several projects of linkage with the UTEQ in which the different academic units participate.

In his speech, the rector announced that he will continue to work hard in the search for excellence. At present, the university has twenty-nine undergraduate degrees that allow it to diversify its academic offer.
