UTEQ International Congress on University Development (CIDU 2023) closed its doors with a record attendance that exceeded all previous expectations.


With a staggering 12,458 participants, the event left an indelible mark on the academic and multidisciplinary environment.

CIDU 2023 not only surpassed its own record of 11,435 attendees from the previous year, but also stood out for the diversity of fields represented and the level of content offered. With 418 papers and 81 keynote speeches, the event was an intellectual beacon, consolidating its position as a key venue for the exchange of knowledge and experience on a global scale.

One of the most notable aspects was the significant increase in participation and discussion around the various symposia. Disciplines such as Agricultural and Forestry Sciences, Animal and Biological Sciences, Engineering Sciences, Water Resources Sciences, Industry and Production Sciences, Business Sciences, Social, Economic and Financial Sciences, Education Sciences and Health Sciences were the main pillars of debate and analysis during the Congress.

The rector of the UTEQ, Eduardo Díaz, expressed his enthusiasm and gratitude for the resounding success of CIDU 2023 in his opening remarks. He stressed the University's commitment to continuing to be a reference in the creation of spaces for dialogue and learning that have a positive impact on academic and social development at national and international levels.
