With 8 symposia and 11435 attendees at the IV International Congress on University Development. - CIDU 2022 reached a record number of participants.

The CIDU was held from 7 to 9 December 2022, and its inauguration took place in the main auditorium of the UTEQ, in the presence of authorities, teachers, students, and national and foreign speakers.

At the opening of the event Carlos Zambrano, director of Research of the UTEQ, thanked the support provided by each of those involved in the logistics of the event and said: "We are strengthening the culture of research. This congress is now being held in a hybrid way, i.e. face-to-face and virtual for a wider reach. We have improved our CIDU platform, facilitating the registration and attendance of participants; in this fourth CIDU we have 46 keynote lectures and 362 papers, and we also exceeded ten thousand attendees, which fills us with satisfaction and shows the exponential growth we have had in 2022," said Zambrano.

Eduardo Díaz, rector of the UTEQ, commented: "The growth of CIDU is remarkable, this speaks well of the University of Quevedo, but above all it speaks well of the national university system and academia. What a joy to be able to contribute to the citizens, the country and the scientific community with these events. We reaffirm our commitments and we will continue to strengthen the research processes within the UTEQ and of course the teaching and research networks of which we are part," said Díaz.
