The aim of these spaces is to provide support on the methodological guidelines for self-evaluation and its impact on the quality assurance process.

During these meetings, the participants carry out a practical simulation exercise of a self-evaluation process for external evaluation purposes; for this purpose, accompanied by the CGEIAC through a role-playing game, they analyse the fulfilment of several quantitative and qualitative standards of the Institutional Evaluation Model to be applied by the CACES at the end of this year.

Raúl Díaz Ocampo, President of the CGEIAC, assured that "it is important to carry out these workshops as they allow us to know the degree of compliance with the quantitative and qualitative quality indicators in order to propose improvement actions in each of the areas and achieve accreditation".

These workshops began on 9 May 2019 with the Directorate of Research, followed by a workshop on 15 May with the Academic Directorate - UPA and on 17 May with the Directorate of Liaison; these workshops will continue until the end of May with the aim of accompanying, within the framework of the competences of the CGEIAC, the process of institutional self-assessment with a view to external evaluation for accreditation purposes.

It should be noted that according to the LOES 2018, the CACES must carry out the external evaluation for accreditation purposes in 2019 and is preparing this process, it is imperative the coordinated and efficient work of the academic and administrative units of the UTEQ in order to face the challenge of the external evaluation, consolidate the achievements and overcome the weaknesses around the institutional objectives of the development project of the University.
