On 16 January, the meeting was attended by authorities and directors of the institution, as well as representatives of the teaching, student and administrative bodies.

Eduardo Díaz Ocampo, rector of UTEQ, highlighted the importance of self-evaluation in the framework of the LOES 2018 and in the processes of continuous improvement of the quality of education in our institution.

During this meeting, Raúl Díaz, head of CEIAC, pointed out that in the context of the reform of the Organic Law of Higher Education - LOES - the fourteenth transitory provision of the new regulations establishes that within eighteen months, counted from the entry into force of the LOES, the CACES must carry out the institutional evaluation of universities and polytechnic schools. Consequently, the commitment of all members of the university community is required in order to face the challenge of external evaluation with the fibres of accreditation.

During the meeting, the president of the Commission made a brief summary of the institutional self-evaluation report 2018, the strengths and weaknesses detected and the improvement actions proposed in an attempt to overcome the weaknesses and strengthen the successes in order to fulfil the institutional mission.
