Ecotourism Career delivered recreational areas to rural sector

The Ecotourism Engineering course of the Faculty of Environmental Sciences, as part of an agreement with the GAD Parroquial La Esperanza, delivered recreational areas.


The project entitled "Community Tourism Initiatives in the Canton of Quevedo" was carried out in the San Bartolo sector of the Parish of La Esperanza in which 16 students of the aforementioned career for a period of 3 months built playgrounds, a boardwalk, a sports court and cabins for the inhabitants of the sector to recreate.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Verónica Herrera, President of the GAD Parroquial La Esperanza, local authorities and teachers of the UTEQ. Ana Moreno, Coordinator of the course, said that this project is for the benefit and improvement of the communities as part of the competences, skills and abilities of each of the students.
