The event was held in the auditorium of the Faculty of Engineering Sciences, FCI, on 8 November, and was attended by authorities, directors, teachers and students of the course.

During the solemn session, awards were presented to Rosa Pallaroso Granizo, teacher of the year, and Herlinda Rodríguez Chérrez, who received recognition as the best student. In addition, during the ceremony, twelve students from the UED Nursing course who are about to graduate received the Coif and the Lamp, insignia that characterise a nurse. Ramona Montes, coordinator of Nursing, said that this noble career currently has an enrolment of 296 students. Guadalupe Murillo, academic vice-rector of the UTEQ, congratulated those in charge of this career and encouraged those present to continue trusting and growing with the UTEQ.
