UTEQ to hold a cancer screening campaign for early detection

The health area of the State Technical University of Quevedo, together with SOLCA, will carry out a cancer screening campaign on 23, 24 and 25 July.


Aimed at the university community and the general population.

According to Miryam Loor, doctor of the health area of the UTEQ, the campaign will take place in the medical area of the university with the following schedule: Monday from 13h00 to 17h00, Tuesday from 08h00 to 17h00, and Wednesday from 08h00 to 12h00. The tests that will be carried out during the campaign are: Pap smear and manual breast examination ($7.00), culture of vaginal secretion ($6.00), said Dr. Loor, who added that the conditions for the beneficiaries of this health day is not to have sexual intercourse or apply eggs, creams, or douches three days before the exams.

Those who wish to receive the benefits of this campaign can purchase tickets in the medical area of the UTEQ. It should be noted that this activity will be carried out by SOLCA medical and paramedical staff in coordination with the university's health professionals.
