Thanks to a mutual cooperation agreement between UTEQ and the Daniel Arroyo Foundation, a medical brigade was carried out for the benefit of the community of Quevedo.

The medical brigade took place on 25 October on the esplanades of the UTEQ Sports Centre, an event attended by approximately 200 people from different areas of the canton of Quevedo.

In this activity, free glucose and blood pressure tests, visual exams, reading glasses, podiatry check-ups, general medicine, psychology and medicines were carried out.

UTEQ authorities, doctors from the health area of the university, the Consulting Group team and of course the staff of the Arroyo Foundation participated in this campaign.

Guadalupe Murillo, academic vice-rector of the UTEQ, informed that these health brigades will continue to take place on 16 November, 1 and 27 December. "As a university we have to be in permanent contact with society, and it is always a pleasure to be able to work for the benefit of society," said Murillo.
