UTEQ Teachers' Association celebrated its 33rd anniversary

The Teachers' Association of the UTEQ celebrated its 31st anniversary with some activities that started from August 23rd to August 25th in the different spaces of the university.


On Wednesday 23 August, as part of this celebration, teachers and students of the FCE received lectures on "Reforms to the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) for SMEs" given by CPA Jaime Suarez Herrera, President of the Accounting Research Institute of Ecuador. On Friday 25th, ADUTEQ held a Mass of Thanksgiving as a posthumous tribute to the disappeared colleagues. This was followed by the presentation of recognition to the members for their years of university work, which included the following: Recognition for 33 years of work was given to: Freddy Amores Puyutaxi, Edison Mazón Paredes, Guadalupe Murillo Campuzano and Ignacio Sotomayor Herrera; for 32 years of work: Carlos Aguirre Valverde, Raúl Díaz Ocampo, Guillermo Law Blanco, Gonzalo Matute, Carlos Mazón Paredes and Livintong Tapia Ortiz; for 31 years of work: Gary Ramírez Huila and Pedro Rosero Tufiño; for 30 years of work: Elías Cuásquer Fuel, Víctor Guevara Viteri and Luis Simba Ochoa; for 25 years of work: Jorge Mendoza Mora, Adolfo Sánchez Laiño and Melchor Troya Zambrano; and for 20 years of work: Henry Alarcón López, Enrique Chalen Escalante, Héctor Gomezcoello Zúñiga, Betty González Osorio, Galo Macías España, Pablo Parra Silva and Marisol Veliz Aguilar. And to end these social, cultural and sporting days, the members of ADUTEQ played football and basketball at the UTEQ Sports Complex. Afterwards, the members enjoyed a lunch in the university canteen, complemented by artistic performances by local musical groups.
